Gia How was Born and Lives in a Small Town in Georgia. When she was just 10 years old, Gia’s father died of a heart attack. Gia’s mother took her and her younger brother to live with their maternal grandparents. working odd jobs to support the family  learned how to communicate through sign language and write. In high school,  was a valedictorian and led her graduating class in a protest against tuition hikes.

Gia How started blogging as a struggling young girl in 2009, after she quit her job to care for her younger sister.  quickly became a social media sensation, using her blog and Twitter to share her experiences as a working-class young woman in the United States. Her blog was popular enough that she was offered a job as a social media manager for a major American corporation, and she continued to share her story on her website and Twitter.

Gia How was struggling as a high school student in St. Louis, Missouri. She loved to write and was a part of the school’s literary society, but she never felt comfortable sharing her work online. Gia started writing for herself in earnest in 2013 after she came across an article about young social media stars. She was hooked and soon found herself writing thousands of words per month on her blog and Facebook.
